Resin Made Easy: Embrace Your Creativity

I will teach how to create a work of art with resin, how to mix resin, what you can use to tint your resin, and safety precautions. We’ll learn doming, casting, coating and so much more. Tips and tricks throughout the class and bonus tips about the most common problems when working with resin. I will go over techniques and applications for resin. Even if you've never used resin, alcohol inks or acrylic paints before, everything you need to know is covered in the class. It's fun, easy, relaxing and rewarding. I will demonstrate two trays.  One painted acrylic tray and we will top resin coat it and then using alcohol inks and mica powders with resin and demonstrate a blank tray. I am sure there will be time to demonstrate casting coasters and show examples of other completed works to provide inspiration so that viewers can embrace their own creativity. As a visually impaired artist I am used to giving detailed step by step instructions and encourage others to embrace their creativity and that is everything is possible!

Resin Jewelry: Windows to the Soul

Making resin jewelry is a deliciously simple way to wear your works of he{art}. Whatever medium you traditionally work in or visual creative expression you can dream up can be adapted to resin jewelry making as long as you adhere to some crucial yet basic processes.

Workshop will quickly and efficiently move from selecting the right substrate (bezels) to selecting and sizing the best imagery for resin artwork to more advanced collage and layering of imagery.

We will also cover the important differences between craft resins and jewelers grade resins when it comes to making jewelry as well as how to properly mix two-part epoxy resin so that it cures perfectly every single time.

Resin mastery is easy when you understand the science behind the art form. With great fundamentals in place, you’ll be free to explore and develop meaningful wearable works that feed your soul.
